As part of our Community Reading Program, AMARILLO READS, the Amarillo Public Library is pleased to offer English as a Second Language and Citizenship Classes. The classes are free, but registration is required. There are three opportunities each year to enroll: Winter/Spring, Summer, and Autumn.
Amarillo Public Library will offer a Citizenship Class taught in Spanish as well as the usual class in English. Classes are free, but registration is required and interested students can register for either class at these times. INS rules require that students planning to take the US Citizenship Class in a language other than English must have had their green card for at least 20 years and be at least 50 years old OR have held a green card for at least 15 years and be at least 55 years old.

Classes begin June 5 and take place at the Downtown Library. If you are unable to attend registration on May 30, please contact Pat Mullin at 378-6038.
