November 21 City Council Meeting Cancelled
City of Amarillo Offices Closed for Thanksgiving
Amarillo, Texas – The Amarillo City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 21 has been cancelled in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The next scheduled meeting of the City Council will take place at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28 in the Council Chamber on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 509 S.E. 7th Avenue.
Additionally, City of Amarillo offices, including all Amarillo Public Library locations, Municipal Court, Amarillo Animal Management & Welfare (AAM&W), and the Transit department will close Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24. Normal operations, including Transit routes, will resume on Saturday, Nov. 25. Trash collection usually scheduled for Thursday will be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Trash operations will continue as normal on Friday, Nov. 24. Bulky item pick-up and collections will resume on Friday, Nov. 24.
